Zagreb Town Clock
Men and women mill round it exchanging callous looks towards the time
Waiting for something to happen in their pleasant observant lives.
They’ll never move till’ the time bores them too greatly.
But it will draw them in once more to this simple observatory.
The observatory of time in the Town Centre Square
Stands as a beacon an omnipresent white glare.
A plethora of commotion round it’s dry modern surface
A gaggle of people with no definitive purpose.
They never care when to eat or to work
Either businessmen sincere or teachers too curt.
But whoever stands beneath it’s monochrome hands
Will be sure of the time to be taken or shared
For the time is much adored in Zagreb Town Square.
